Wishing for Summer!

This is the, "it's cold outside, I'm tired of indoor shoots, Where is Summer" post......So we are going back in time to when it was warm and sunny and Beautiful!.......

Have you ever been to Beyond Envy? It is a fun, spunky and stylin' hair studio on "B" and Silber. Sophia Reddick is the owner and is so cute! She looks like she came straight out of a Style magazine every time I see her. I had the privilege of taking pictures of her staff for an Add they were doing. We had a retro theme going on. It was one of my favorite shoots yet! I hope you enjoy these images from the session.

I stood in a tractor bucket to get this shot.

I'm pretty sure they all thought I was crazy to do this one. It did end up being the one they used for the add.

Sweet Baby girl!

AAAHHHH! This little girl is a DOLL!!!!! She slept through most of our session even with me poking and tucking! Then right at the end we got these bright beautiful eyes! I hope you enjoy this newborn session as much as I did!

Oh! And this little beauty is signed up for our watch them grow package so you will be seeing more of her!

2 year old boys!

I had the privilege of taking this little guys 2 year pictures recently. He is such a happy boy! I have some more images I'm working on but couldn't wait to share a few! His mommy had the idea of simple backdrop I just LOVED how the white turned out! Very clean and crisp.

6 Month Sweet Baby Girl!!!

There has been an over load of girls lately!!! Not that I'm complaining! I love pink, fluff, sparkle and pretty! This sweet girl was the happiest thing! Shot all natural again thanks to my flash issue but I really like how they turned out! Beautifully focused on the subject!

You can't tell me you can look at this sweet girl's face and not smile! What a happy girl!
If you haven't picked up on it yet I LOVE kiddos! It is a joy to go into the homes of families and get to know them and their precious children. I hope you enjoy these shots as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Oh! Almost forgot! I broke my flash while loading the car for this session so it was done all natural light. Thanks Angie for being so patient with me as I figured out what to do! It never is boring over here......

Dress up Princess

Every photographer builds their portfolio by gracious people allowing them to take pictures of them, most of the time this happens to be family members. My case is no different. For the past 3 years my children and my sisters children have been the Ginnie pigs of my obsession....I mean learning.

I'm always excited to take my families pictures, but this one was extra exciting because I had pinterest ideas swimming our in my head just waiting to come out and who better to try them out on then my sweet nieces'  one year shoot?!

My vision started with this shot:

Love those baby legs!

Then it progressed to a dress up princess theme.

She has these amazing blue eyes like her Mommy and Nana

And I made a chalk board thanks to many ideas off pinterest so had to try that out too!

Allen Hirshfield has been very generous and let me use the space above his store many times. This session was  there as well. It got a little chilly for the poor model but it is very beautiful.
